Breast to bottle...

I'm currently weaning DS2 6 months onto formula. I'm taking it slow and dropping one feed a week and so far my boobs haven't exploded. But I feel like an emotional wreck - very much like I have (bad) PMT. stressed, crying, feeling life is crap etc etc and feel sorry for myself and poor DH!

Is there a hormone shift going on? Any one else had the same?

With DS1 I was on ADs for PND so they probably masked things for me!

What can I do other than eat lots of chocolate ?!?

It will be the hormones most likely - mine were crazy until a month after I stopped feeding DD.

My advice - get out and do exercise: take DS out for a walk, dance with him, try and be active. If possible, go and do a step class or go swimming. The endorphins from the exercise always helped to rebalance me.

space, this is a known phenomenon, unforch....there are several studies about it. You sound as if you have it really quite severely, and you may want to talk to your HV/GP about it.

If you want to read up about it, PM me and I can send you some links.

It seems to be hormonal, but also emotional/psychological.

Yes-hormones go all over the shop. Be gentle on yourself & expect to be a basket case-talk to others in RL x

Thanks! I'm also getting headaches and a sicky feeling - not unlike morning sickness / early pregnancy (I'm not).

Is that linked to hormones too? Tiktok I'm about to pm you...
