Have I mucked up eve supply by feeding 3wo expressed milk?

Just that really.
DC3 is 3wo tomorrow.
She cluster feeds every evening til some time later (usually 9-10pm).

Tonight, I just wanted to have dinner with my other 2 DC. My mum was here, so I handed her a bottle with some milk I'd expressed this morning. It was less than 60ml, as I just do it very quickly, if I ever get a chance...

This means I haven't fed DC3 since about 5.30pm (2 hours ago).

I'd usually have fed a LOT in that time.
DC3 now feeding, but sleepier than usual (I can see why people are tempted to give bottles at this time!).

I don't want to rely on bottles each evening, I know the cluster feeding will stop eventually.
But I'm worried I'm now back to square 1 as I missed a load of feeds tonight Sad

any advice/ reassurance?
Feel a bit gutted and scared.... Sad

Not an expert but sure you will be fine. 2 hours is not a long time at all and I don't blame you for wanting to have dinner with your other DC. I think your supply could be jeopardised if you missed several feeds a day/on numerous occasions, but not just one 2 hour gap. I think it's brilliant you had a break...(ish!) Smile

thanks for reply :)
Yes. It was nice to have a break and some time with the other 2 DC (especially as DH is away at the moment).

I just had the idea that cluster feeding was, in part, to build up supply when it's lowest? But I guess I'll just carry on doing that tomorrow, as normal! ;)

Don't worry! I used to do the same thing with 2-3oz then got a bit worried and checked with my HV. She said for that amount it won't effect supply.

thanks, Lady :)

As a one off, it will be fine :) Don't worry about it.
