Help me understand my 4 month old!

So for the past few weeks-probably a month actually my baby has been pooing a lot 10 or so nappies a day! She's more recently-few weeks-started waking more and not in the night for feeds and now the last week or so her poo is a dark greens colour.

What does all this mean?

Her weight gain hasn't been affected so far.

She's breastfed.

Teething?

NoTea, this could all be normal . Do you mean she is 'now' waking in the night, or 'not' waking in the night? Either would be normal :)

Babies' poo is sometimes green, and this is not a problem at all in a healthy, thriving baby. It's sometimes frequent - ditto :)

I think there's definite movement on the teething front! She's dribbling too and is rubbing her gums together now...sometimes with my nipple between the two...ouch!

Thanks TikTok-I had read somewhere that green poo is a sign of not feeding well, or a bug. Is that not right?

It is meant to say that she is waking more in the night now.

Green poo can be an infection, but there are always other symptoms. It can sometimes mean the baby is not feeding sufficiently, but this shows up as weight loss.

Well she was still putting weight on 2 weeks ago but that was before the poo went green! Maybe I'll go and get her weighed this week?!
