Horrendous sick from neocate - any experience?

Hi again!

16 week old switched to neocate as suspected cmpi causing severe reflux. He is also on ranitidine, domperidone etc max doses.
He is improved from drugs, but still clearly uncomfortable and skipping feeds so cmpi being considered and neocate changed to 3 days ago.
He isn't feeding well (that was before neocate so don't think it's the taste) taking about 2-3 oz on a good feed, or refusing food for up to 9 hours.
Today he has been taking the food a little better but in doing so has been sooooooo sick. He seems brighter and his skin seems really good now already so think its having a positive effect. It's just the constant spit up (not projectile or anything).
Anyone found similar issues? I'm wondering if its cos its so thin (had him on anti reflux and comfort food before) so be any keep it down. Or could he be allergic to something in it?
I'm terrified he is getting dehydrated and don't know what to do. Don't want to switch him back as if it is cmpi it will cause more issues long term and at the moment he is bright and happy enough so keeping an eye out for dehydration but no signs ATM.
Any experiences of this?
Thanks.
Xx

Hello -
i don't want to alarm you, but if your baby is not feeding well and refusing feeds, do get this checked out urgently. How is his weight? at this age his weight should be increasing steadily.

Thanks chottie. He is having his weight checked every week ATM. This week we have seen a consultant paed and a dietitian so I'm making sure his weight is checked up on.
He has previously gained perfectly on 25th centile, but then dropped to 9th. He is now gradually heading to second. Each week he is gaining, just not much.
He had a reasonable feed tonight and although threw up a fair amount, did go back and feed more so I'm confident had enough tonight at least. If he is the same tomorrow ill take him to the docs again on Monday to see what I can do, as I'm so worried he is going to dehydrate.
I need to know if he could be having a reaction to this neocate milk or whether its just its so thin he can't keep it down. Consultant suggested weaning next week if his weight drops to 2nd centile which I suspect it will as this is the worst week we've had in a while. I'm hoping they will give him a thickener if that's the issue so he can at least keep it down.
I'm just so worried about him.

I can understand why you are worried. I hope all goes well with the consultation next week.
