weaning from breast to bottle at night

we've finally found that our dd will take dr browns bottles, so i'm trying to wean her off the breast, she takes the bottle throughout the day, generally little and often, but she still wants me at night, I give her a feed after her bath and she just about falls asleep then I put her in her cot. she wakes up a lot and I have to feed her to stop her crying and screaming, we end up co-sleeping for ease. now I want to wean her off the breast completely and sort out night times, but I don't k now what to do or where to start. I don't have the heart to do cc or anything harsh like that, but I don't know what my other options are. also, after her bath she wont take the bottle, just screams as she wants booby. anty ideas or advice please?

How old is DD? Are you using the bottles for expressed milk or formula? sounds like she's using your booby for comfort. It may help if someone else could give her the bottle at night for a few nights, difficult I know, but babies can smell breast milk 100 yards away!! And if your breast isn't there she will take the bottle if she's hungry, depends on her age

hi! thanks for your reply. she is 9 1/2 months, defo using me for comfort. I am giving her formula, she takes it fine, I am just worried about the night times as I don't know how she will fall asleep, as she has always had me there and always fallen asleep on me (not ideal or "right" I know). I know she has separation anxiety and have read not to do any cc or anything similar whilst she has this, so I don't really know what my options are. some advice has been wait until she is 1 and see where we're at then, she may grow out of it?!

She will grow out of it but may take longer than a year! All you can do at the mo is feed her the bedtime bottle next to her cot & cuddle her to sleep or have you thought about a dummy? i gave one to DD in the end to save my sanity! its not easy but i learnt by the time i had DC3 not to cuddle them to sleep!
