Any recommendations? I have to retn to work in 2 months, dd does not like bottles - fully b/f at present - so I am considering to get her used to a cup, she is 16 wks.

I use a Doidy Cup which DS seems to find ok. You can get them from John Lewis and NCT sales online, but I know there are other places. HTH

here they are, you get a discount if you buy 2. Have you tried a sippy cup? I'm not a great fan but there are so many on the market now there is a great choice. I heard last week there is one designed for 3-6months and one 6-9 months, so the valve is probably a better design than the older anywayup cups. My ds is also breastfed and although he will drink from a bottle, he had few problems drinking from a cup. If your lo is confused by having to suck (I think bf babies don't adjust as easily as ff fed) and just thinks the teat is to be chewed on, remove the valve and tip the cup periodically in to her mouth. Then once she has learnt where the water comes from, she will probably suck to get it. That's if she wants to of course! Have you tried offering water on a teaspoon? We did this for a month, every now and again, just to teach ds that things other than breastmilk do exist, and so he wasn't so freaked out by it when he started solids and did need it! HTH!

the best cup I found for dd was a tommee tippee first cup which is a lidded beaker but it doesnt have a non-spill valve so makes it easy to use. They are also cheap and found in supermarkets, chemists, etc

I would also recommend the Tommee Tippee First Cup - it took a while for my DD to get used to the idea, but was taking water from it by around 6 months old.
