Having a 'bleed' after cutting down on bf-ing - Anyone else had this?

I bf my dd2 until 6 months, then introduced solids. Dd2 always rejected milk in botlles, trainer cups etc. etc. as well as water, so her only source of fluid was always from me. I fed her 3 times a day and generally a little bit in between if she was tired or unwell, occasionally during the night, but mainly she slept through.
A couple of weeks ago, I had had enough (mainly because of her new teeth ) and stopped bf-ing her during the day and gave her a bottle instead which she accepted. I still feed her before bedtime. About a week into this new routine I started having a small bleed, mainly old blood, then a little new blood. Enough to wear a mini tampax.
Is this just my body getting used to the change in milk production, level of hormones etc? Has anyone else had the same? I got my periods back reasonably regularly from about 6 months and this is definitely mid-cycle.

I really have no idea but from my own experience of cycles etc I would say your body will not be your own until you have stopped totally, therefore yes I would say hormones a go-go!
Bump for you also if anyone else can help!?
