Morning cluster feeding?

My 18-day old ebf DS has wanted to feed pretty much non-stop all morning for the last 4 or 5 mornings. It's reached a peak today, where he started at 8.30 and apart from 3 nappy changes and an hour when dp stopped working to try and settle him (he works from home poor bloke) he's STILL feeding. I thought this kind of cluster feeding was an evening thing? Anyone else experienced it in the morning? Is it likely to be the 2-3 week growth spurt?

it could be either :)

best advice, just sit down with a (flask of) tea, some nice food, the TV remote or a good book and just let it happen.

When I took that advice from a friend, suddenly, it didn't seem to be as big a deal.

(what I mean is, I was stressing over each and every little thing that DD did, and my friend told me to relax as above, and it made it all a lot easier )

My two both did morning cluster feeds.

Thanks people, it's good to know it's normal. It was just a bit frustrating today because I'd arranged to meet my nct friends for lunch and thought I was going to have to give up leaving the house (we did make it out in the end and DS slept like an angel). Any other day and I am happy to sit back and go nowhere :-)
