Digestion Issues - Help!

I have 7 week old DS who suffers with digestion problems. Basically he does not sleep well at all at night, spending most the time writhing, thrashing, making noises like long grunts and wimpers. He also feeds every 1.5-2 hours despite being FF although he takes 2oz instead of 4oz. This continues until around 8am when he normally has a massive liquid pop which goes everywhere. Once he's had this poo another big one usually follows an hour later. He is then a happy chappy for the rest of the day and has a better sleep/feed routine.

He is on an antibiotic called Trimethroprim as I have kidney disease and this is to stop him getting an infection in case he has it too. He's under going tests at the moment. I'm wondering if that's the issue or something else.

We have tried elevating his cot, cranial osteopathy, Infacol, anti colic bottles and comfort formula. None of which has made a dramatic difference.

Should I try another brand of formula?? Is it the antibiotics?

Does anyone have any other suggestions as we're exhausted and so is he!

Think it's a side effect of that antibiotic. Check with your doctor or the pharmacist might be able to tell you. Trying to remember which one gives them the runs. Another mnetter might remember.
