Moving on to formula

Hi
Just wondering if anyone can help at all. My baby is only 3 months old but I like to be prepared and am thinking about when I move him on to formula. i am going to breastfeed for around 6 months but will be returning to work when he is about 8 months. Im not sure how it will work breastfeeding and working so am.hoping to move to formula around the 6 month mark which is also when you start weaning. Will it confuse him if we introduce formula and food, should it be one at a time or can it be done? Was going to drop breast feeding one feed at a time and replace with formula but I don't want to confuse him with all these new things at once!
Any tips?
Thanks

Do you want to move to formula, or just think you need to? It's perfectly possible to go back to work and still bf. I went back to work when DS was 9 months and fed him until he was 16 months. I would feed him in the morning and evening, and on demand at weekends. He'd occasionally have formula during the day if he wanted, but he didn't always want it. Your breasts will adapt to maintain your supply.

Obviously ignore this if you want to stop, but just wanted to let you know you don't automatically have to stop just because you're returning to work!
