Large lumpy painful breast on stopping BF

My DS had his last BF about 10 days ago. We had been down to middle of night feed only for a couple of weeks and he has now started to go back to sleep with just a cuddle and dummy.
For the first few days everything was fine but over the last week I have noticed my left breast has a large progressively painful lump in it. The nipple is also very hard and tender.
Should I express? See GP? Any advice greatly appreciated

it could be a blocked duct if you were still producing milk which has bass built up over the last 10 days. expressing should clear it but if you have any flu symptoms you should see your GP in case of mastitis. good luck

*has built up

Thank u. Spoke to national bf helpline and they also advised express and anti-inflammatories. Feel ok but might try and talk to gp on phone tomorrow.
