Can you get something to blend formula milk?

Dd is mix fed and has tracheal malacia and can only drink ready made formula. If I make her a bottle with powdered milk she throws the whole lot back up. The dr said this may because ready made is smoother. So I was wondering if there was something I could get that makes bottles? Or even if I could use a blender to mix powdered formula for her? Has anyone done this?

Maybe if you gave the bottles a really good shake after making them, and then letting them stand for several hours before using them - the ready made formula is standing around for ages on the shelves.

Thank you. Think I will buy a tub of powder and try different ways Smile

are you making up the formula with hot water?
I have noticed over the course of 3 kids that formula dissolves better in cold water than hot.

really helpful I know given the advice is to make it up with 70 degree water.

I would try blending it with a stab blender, maybe adding half the water hot (to steralize the powder) and then add cold water to the correct volume then blitz with the blender.

Well, sterilise the blender too then! No point in boiling water and sterilising bottles if you don't sterilise the blender.

When DS was on staydown milk it was a complete £%%$ to mix. We found getting a milk frothed helped a lot. Couldn't really sterilise it, but we did run it under boiling water for a while before use.
