Weaning onto formula - does this sound right?

DD is 5mo and I've made the decision to start slowly weaning her onto formula, combine feeding her until the transition is over.

So...I've started with a bottle before bed and then one mid morning. I obviously don't know how much she's taking from me - and the advice is 4 7oz bottles of formula a day.

I'm confused if I'm doing this correctly. Can I give her the formula bottles on demand as I have been with the BFing? Or do I now need to start being more structured?

Advice appreciated.

the milk pack is just a guide, you can still feed baby on demand with bottles they just will probably take less than 7oz, especially if you are bfing more often than 4 times a day like it says to give the bottles.
