I'm feeling faint and very light headed almost spaced out and washed out

This is the best I can describe it

I think I eat enough to be honest I've put on 1 stone since giving birth so I know I must be eating well!

I think I drink enough

Don't know what to do, anyone else ever felt like this?

I can do with extreme tiredness. But if it continues or worsened I'd be getting it checked out by a professional.

Is it happening now? Are you alone or is someone with you?

LillyofWinchester · 01/09/2013 23:02

Do you think it could be your iron levels? I'd get yourself checked out I think.

Hawkmoth · 01/09/2013 23:04

Agree with getting iron levels checked. I was three weeks post partum before I had anaemia confirmed... Stupidly.

noblegiraffe · 01/09/2013 23:04

Has it come on after cluster feeding? I felt completely drained a few times after some particularly intense evening feeds. But I've been ok the next day.

dopeysheep · 01/09/2013 23:04

Iron? Def get it checked, and maybe thyroid as well?

butterflyexperience · 01/09/2013 23:09

Only have one night feed and I have a nap during the day so not that

Will check for iron

Not alone

Today it came on late afternoon

I have twins one is enf and the other was ff but am now trying to bf him and I think it's started since getting twin2 to bf
They are both 9 weeks
Could this be it?
Not sure about underactive thyroid. How could I tell?

I had that feeling a lot while bf and it turned out to be my thyroid, my levels seemed ok at the time but last year they plummeted and I'm now on medication. You need a blood test anyway to check iron, so they will do your thyroid at the same time if you ask. It also could be blood sugar dips- bf takes a lot of energy.
