just posted in childbirth and then came across this section sorry for the double posting...

I had ds 12 days ago by c section. Bfeeding much easier this time which around compared to dd 2 years ago...Milk came in on day 4 this time rather than day 6! However, if i feed from one boob the other leaks and going too long between feeds i leak. It seems i am producing too much - I never even needed breast pads the first time!

Can I do anything to help with this? Glad ds is feeding well with 2-4 hours between feeds but wet patches on shirt going through breast pads not so much!!! will it sort itself out or can I do anything to regulate it?

Congrats! I still get this sometimes & DS is 17 months Smile

Your body will adjust in time but the two boob letdown thing stays for a while. Feeding regularly from both sides will help.

I suffer from leaky boob (DD now 11 weeks old). I find that Lansinoh breast pads are excellent for controlling the leaks as they have a strong waterproof backing. I've not had wet patches on my clothes since changing to Lansinoh.
