breast milk storage using Advent bottles and teat question

Hi All

As Advent bottles do not have dedicated lids and the only way to close them is to have the teat screwed on with the lid , Does anyone know whether its safe to store breastmilk in the fridge long with the teat? Surely, this will make the life of the teat deplete fast?

Having said this, someone said that to store milk with the teat better, you can invert the teat and screw the lid on. Is this true? I have the classic new born advent set bottles and none of them can do that unless I am missing something?

Any advice will be greatful

you can get discs that turn the bottles into a storage jar. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000067QMD
