Still doing a dream feed at 14 months?!!

I know, I'm laughing at myself. This is ridiculous but DS only started sleeping through last week! It's been a tough year! I stopped bf a month ago but we've continued with dream feed as we are too damn scared not to!

He drains a 7oz bottle quickly without really waking and finally going thru until 6. He eats well during the day.

Anyone dealt with similar, cold turkey or reduce bit by bit? Maybe he does still need it? Maybe I will be doing this when he is 12 Grin

I have a thirteen year old and a thirteen month old. Guess whichever one is feeding still! Don't worry.

Ps, my 13Å·ear old is NOT still breast feeding !

LOL Caff!!

He gulped it down last night, woke at 6. Think he's just a v hungry lad. He is huge, quite lean but seriously off the percentiles in size. He must need it.

I'd be a bit scared to drop it too I think (looks at DS who didn't sleep through til 2.5 years...)

With DS we reduced the dreamfeed by an oz every few nights til it was only 2 or 3oz, then started bringing it forward by 15 or 30 minutes until he was going to bed after a feed at 7pm, and then we were doing the dreamfeed of 2 or 3oz at 9pm. He was still going through til the morning without another feed so one night we just stopped it and he didn't wake for it.

That was at 9 months btw, he still continued to wake most nights once or twice just for a cuddle!

Not sleeping until 2.5!!! Please don't let this be a flukey week!! Dd slept through at 3 weeks - we didn't know how good we had it!!
