My mums friends dd, has just had a dd after v traumatic birth. It's a very wanted baby that she has tried v hard to get, ivf, etc she's into her 40s.

I've been asked to call to support having bf all my dc for a yr each. So going to give her a ring in a bit to suggest what I found helped me. Just wondered if there was some rl support in Maidstone area I might be able to suggest. It's about 80 miles away from me and I can give phone support but I can't get to her.

She's also new to the area and knows no one. Do friendly mn ers what do you suggest?

Perhaps check the Maidstone NCT pages, sometimes they do BFing meet ups in a local café. Or try the local children's centres, they might have groups she'd like to go to.

Does she want to do any baby activities like baby swimming, massage, yoga, signing etc? They are good ways to meet new people in the area

I'm not local to Maidstone myself so that's about all I can suggest, hopefully someone else will be along soon.

Could she make it as far as Tunbridge Wells? There is a breastfeeding drop in group at the little forest children's centre on Tuesdays from 9.30 until about 11am. There is a really good lactation consultant there. She's been recommended by so many people. Think you need to be there well before 11am as she's pretty popular.
