Help, please, 10mo ds suddenly refusing boob

He's usually on 3 milk feeds a day. Out of nowhere he refused to feed last night, then again this morning and again this afternoon at which point I gave him a bottle of formula. At bedtime this evening he refused all milk, boob or bottle. I gave him calpol and teething powder 30 mins before in case he was in pain, but I'm pretty sure it's not that.

I guess if he wants to give up I'll go with it, although I'm sad it's happened so soon, I wanted to get to 12 months at least like I did with ds1. But my boobs are getting huge and I want to try everything I can before I give in! Any ideas for other ways to get him to feed again?

sounds like it's maybe a nursing strike? Quite common at that sort of age, I think. There is some advice about it on the kellymom website

I have just replied on another post, similar here, ds now 9m stopped 2 wks ago and I'm sure it's teeth as he cut ohis 7th today. He had a strike 2m ago and went back on but I think this time it's done Sad just keep offering and if he still refuses, express and use it in his food which is what I'm going to continue to do.

Thanks, I'm expressing and keeping on offering in case he changes his mind. I really don't want to stop this suddenly or early, especially as all the advice is that at this age he's not actually self-weaning per se, it's just developmental. Sigh Sad
