Feeling down after stopping bf

Ds2 turned 1 this week which has brought bf'ing to a natural end. It had been reducing anyway but I haven't fed him for over a week now. He's hardly noticed and I am pleased with my decision but have been feeling quite tearful for the last few days - is this normal? My boobs are tender which is making me feel guilty and I just wish it would all go away now!

I had pnd with ds1 ( only bfd for 3 months) and I'm hoping that this is just hormonal blues that will go away. Is this a common feeling?

Yes it is, despite being desparate to give up I felt awful and I am afraid it is mostly down to hormones and the fact that you are uncomfortable. It soon passes and you can start enjoying the next stage of toddlerhood!

Thank you. It is very uncomfortable and making me feel guilty which I know is silly! Glad I'm not going mad though, bloody hormones Smile
