BF 14mo DD but suddenly got really sensitive nipples - help!

Just as the title says really. It's coincided with AF returning so probably connected with that. It's not really painful but it's really uncomfortable latching her on or if anything touches them.
Has anyone else had this? Any suggestions on what to do or do I just have to get on with it?

DS is almost 13 mo and last few days latching, and BF has been excruciating. Just has a look and got tiny blood blister on one side, and a tiny patch of raw skin on the other. I think they may match where his incisors could be coming through.. Either way, its horrible and it's making me want to give up BF :-(

Is your DD teething? Could be linked?

I used to get this and would find that DS had got lazy with his latch (or I'd been accepting poor latches!) so would be quite pedantic about positioning and latching until things improved (and would dig out the dusty Lansinoh tube).

Thank you both. I've got some Lansinoh I can dig out. Also DD is teething with 2 molars on their way.

I wondered whether there was a hormonal link I suppose as I suffer with hypothyroidism and my symptoms for that have come back too. I'm going to get my levels checked next week.
