my baby has weaned himself

hello everyone

I am just worried my 11 month old has slowly but surely weaned himself, off my breast. He has been doing it from around June time dropping feeds and now for the last 3 mornings he hasn't taken a morning feed so thats him not having any milk from me at all. He eats well, plenty of yogurts, cheese and other food, but I really wasn't expecting this. I did seek advice from the la leche league but that was for something else I didn't realise at the time that he was weaning himself completely of my milk. I don't think he will take my milk again, so I am wondering how much milk should he have a day 2 beakers of cows milk? or a follow on milk, cows milk is from a year he is 11 months wonder if I should wait??

I don't know if I should be worried about it or just let him carry on as he is?

has anyone ever experienced this before?

I'm sorry to say I don't know the answer to the cow's milk before1 year thing... Think I'd probably pump and mix with cow's for a while. 11 months isn't far off really. No expert though...
I'm dreading this happening with dd2. She's 7 months and since starting solids, she's feeding a lot less. She cannot be stopped on the solids though. BF was such a big deal for me (previous issues with dd1) that I hate the thought of her self-weaning when I'm not ready.

It sounds like it might be a nursing strike - true self weaning is pretty unusual at this age.

Yoni, he has been doing this for weeks, its been very gradual, but like you said I am worried about the age, thank you for the replies

My 7month old has started doing this since he got the taste of real food. He only has a feed in the morning the rest of the day its for about 15 seconds if I offer it! I give him formula once a day to make sure he's getting enough. Lll told me self weaning was impossible before 1 but im going to disagree with that one
