Suddenly I'm pumping less than 1oz. Why??

No idea why but this baby (my 4th) I have only managed to pump 2-3oz at one sitting (with previous babies it was 7-10oz).

I'm pumping to freeze for when I'm away from her for a couple of days in winter Sad but i cant produce more than an ounce lately.
Seriously, I used to leak more than the amount in my pump right now!

Anyone have any ideas why? Baby is thriving but she feeds for only a few minutes and is more interested in solid foods now (6.5mo). Suggestions on why this might be happening and on how to increase my yield gratefully accepted, thanks.

This is normal with established bf - mothers usually have to increase their bf or increase the no. of sessions with the pump to overcome it.

Just to also add, it might be worth checking the pump. Especially if you are using the same pump you were using with previous babies! Suction can deteriorate and valves can start to weaken. Some manufacturers will offer replacement parts.

Try a different pump. I had a battery powered Mothercare one, it was useless. I then tried an Avent Isis. Miles better!

It's a new pump Tambajam, tommee tippee electric thingie.

Saggy, I agree about battery ones! I've never found one with any decent suck.

Tiktok, I've spent the weekend offering dd more feeds before she eats any solid food and am starting to feel a bit fuller again.

Hopefully my supply is on the up, pumping will resume on Monday when I can get a bit of p&q!

Thanks all.
