Just wondered what other people do when using ready made formula when out, i normally take the carton and an empty sterilised bottle or pre sterilised disposable bottle and then just pour the formula into the bottle when i need to used it. Is that what everyone else does?

I only use the cartons and presterilised bottles when on holiday. But yes, thats exactly what I do!

I did this with dd1 - far easier than taking the water/powder. Smile

Or you could get one of those dividers from Mothercare that allows you to put the powder in - there is enough room for three separate feeds.

useful if you are away for the night and know you only need three feeds.

When I'm out during the day I just take a norml bottle with me and heat it up in the fisherprice flask I have (i make up a whole days bottles the week before - it's cheaper!)

I always take one of the powder containers and a bottle of boiled water with me - far cheaper than using cartons everytime i'm out. Tommee tippee now do a powder holder that fits inside the bottle (any wide necked ones) which saves having to take a huge container if you only need 1 feed.
