How do I stop BF a 8 month old CMA baby?

Hi, Been trying to get my LO onto his prescription formula for about 3 months now. Only takes Sippy cups not bottles but wont take any volume of formula, maybe 4 fl oz all day! Still BF about 4 times in total throughout day and night as he still wakes 3 times. He does have 3 solid meals a day and likes his food, but he loves BF and I am worried as doesnt take enough other fluids I feel to make up me not feeding!
Any ideas, really struggling and have to leave him with Hubby in September as going on night out!

Do you need to stop just yet? Could you perhaps express milk if you have to leave him with your husband? I sympathise, as I also had a cows' milk protein intolerant baby, and I ended up BFing for a lot longer than planned (still am, in fact, and he's 23 months!)
