Dream feeding

Hi

My little girl is 8 weeks old and seems to have settled into her own routine of being fed at 8am,11am,2pm,5pm,8pm,12/1am,4am
I am pretty happy with this for just 8 weeks old but I'd like to stretch her more at night to try and get her to sleep through.

I'd like to try dream feeding but not sure where to start?

What time should I feed her dream feed and to make it work best do I need to try and change the times of her current routine? I generally go to bed about 10/11pm.

Any help/advice would be appreciated. She is bottle feeding.

Thanks

What time were you thinking of offering it? Think you have to look at what time you want to go to bed or if you have a partner, what time they go to bed, and if you go out, what time you want to be home by.

I usually did the DF at about 10.30 but you can obviously do it whenever really. The only thing is if you are doing last feed at 8 and then DF at around 10 she may not take that much as its bit a big gap between feeds. May be best to try and feed her last at 7 or do the DF after 11.

Thanks. I was thinking of offering it at 10/10.30. I've fed her at 7pm tonight as well as giving her slightly less for her last two feeds. Im going to try dream feed at 10.30 tonight to see how it goes.

Sorry another quick question. Do you wind after the feed or just put straight back down?

I do the dream feed about 1045 and I never wind DS afterwards. He never wakes up the feed and keeps his eyes closed, so don't want to wake him by winding. He goes straight back down.

Gotta go - time for a dream feed!
