Is my toddler weaning?

DD is 26 months. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and my milk dried up quite a while ago, but DD continued nursing throughout, usually just at bedtime, but sometimes still in the day too. For the last few weeks colostrum has been coming back and she doesn't seem so keen to nurse.

I only offer at bedtime, she probably nurses every other or every third night. The nights she doesn't nurse though she'll say she wants to but then just put her mouth over my nipple as though she's going to latch on but doesn't. Sometimes she just seems to want my nipple in her mouth but not be latched on, but I find it irritating, so discourage her.

I'm wondering if its the colostrum, although there's not much of it or if she's just ready to stop. If so that's obviously fine and might make things easier with a newborn in a way as I can only nurse from one side anyway, but is she likely to want to nurse more/start again (assuming she stops) when I have the baby and my milk comes in? She can remember 'mooky' as she has said it's gone.

Anyone?

She didn't want to nurse at all tonight, didn't even want a cuddle, just wanted to go in her bed with her new (tacky and horrid, but she loves it!) Peppa Pig bedding.

I guess my little girl is getting grown up!

I'm at a very similar stage to you, 25 month old and 30 weeks pg. my ds hasnt fed properly for months but does that covering his mouth over but not really suckling. I'm unsure too so am just taking it as part of the differene in pregnancy and who knows what will happen when milk comes in!!
