How long so babies really need a feed at night for?

I only ask as DS1 naturally stopped feeding at night at about 6 months and I read somewhere that a typical 6 month old doesn't biologically need to feed during the night..
Our DS2 is only 3.5 months and feeds just once between 7pm-7am. All fine by me, just doing a straw poll to find out for the coming months!

My DD is 9m and she wakes 3 times a night at least. Sometimes it's for a cuddle and rocking others it's for BF. last night she had 3 feeds because she wouldn't go off without it and I know it was milk she wanted

My Dd1 went 7-6 from 9 or 10 weeks old. Not sure how or why but I didn't realise how lucky we were!!
My subsequent two children have been much less reliable and I can't actually remember with DS.
DD2 still going strong with at least 2 night feeds and she is 8.5 weeks.

Ladypop my 5 month old went to bed at 7pm (her natural routine) and fed at 10pm and 3am and woke at 7am. Perfect.

That was until she hit 20 Weeks and i'm now tearing my hair out a she's waking at 10pm, 12am, 3am, 4am, 5.30am and wakes at 6am :(

It depends entirely on the baby. My two were feeding at night well into their second years. It dwindled slowly but naturally. It was pretty exhausting, but tbh I'm glad I stuck it out each time - not for reasons of sanctimoniousness but because it was the path of least resistance really. Mine are 8 and nearly 6 now so I can take the long view on this. It eventually becomes a distant memory.
