Nearly 7m EBF. Ready to give up but son not so keen...

I've been EBF now for nearly 7m and very much ready to give up now. 6m had always been my limit really.

He won't take a bottle from me or hubby whether it's expressed or formula. Have tried flavouring the formula with vanilla, raspberry and vanilla and cinnamon to no avail.

On 4th type of bottle plus sippy cup. Still no joy.

Back to work in 2 weeks and have spent the last 10 days trying. Have tried him when really hungry, when slightly hungry, when not hungry.

I know I can feed him before nursery and when I pick him up etc but I don't want to have to. I just want to stop!

It's a bit of a rant but I don't really know what to do now. Is it worth going cold turkey on him??

Have a look in the Mn archive, there will be lots of old threads on bottle refusal. I'd ring one of the helplines too. The BFC should be able to give you some tips on moving over to formula and to get you back to work without getting mastitis.
