My EBF Dd who is 1 next week has dropped from 4-5 breastfeeds a day to 2 maybe 3 max . I put this down to the new routine of having siblings home for summer and her new found independence . Is this enough for her age ? She also only feeds for like 1-2 mins if that on sometimes both sides if not one side .

I am not an expert by any means, but I think your DD will take what she needs. DS is 21 months and the amount of times he wants to BF varies from week to week.
The link below is helpful.

My LO is 1 in 2 weeks she dropped from 4 to 3 feeds a couple of weeks ago and it looks like her afternoon feed is on the way out as well. So very similar to you.

Well my DD is getting stroppy when I try and feed her and cries and arches her back. She may up her feeds again I hope , glad it sounds normal tho , thank you

Why don't you call a BF help line?

Good luck.

Sounds similar to us at 12mo... Its v unsettling isnt it?! However at 14 mo he feeds more on some days than others.
It goes in waves so run with it.

Thank you , I'm not sure if she is trying to wean/nursing strike. It always reduces when the holidays are here , obviously being out a lot and going away is far more interesting to her then drinking milk :)

hope it is all working out. dont forget that a nursing strike is different to weaning and that natural weaning is not usually until after the age of 2.... & yes life can be so exciting some times that my DS forgets to feed during the day!!!!!!!!!!
best of luck. I found my local LLL group of mums really helpful during these types of periods. I always feel a little sad if DS shows a lack of interest but he has always come back.
