My DD is 36 hours old, she had a couple episodes in hospital where she hasn't wanted to feed for 6 hours then brought up a load of mucas, so the MW said that explained her not feeding as her tum was full.

We're now at home and shes gone 3.75 hours between feeds and had 5 mins on the boob. I can tell she's got something to bring up but nothing I do will bring it up, its like it just comes up when its ready, bit like a cat hair ball!!! Any ideas?

No sorry but if you think she may not be feeding enough I'd call the MWs. Do you have a 24 hour number for them?

Congratulations too Smile

My DD was quiet mucusy when she was little. I was advised she probably had an intolerance to cows milk protein. I was bfing so I avoided lots f dairy products for her first 5 months. It was a pain in the ass but made a huge difference to her.

Now she is 10mo she loves dairy and it has no effect on her at all. Docs said this would happen, its just the gut maturing and can cope with cows milk now
