Any tips on getting a reluctant 6m old to take a bottle. He has been breast fed only until now but need to look to move to ff when I return to work.

Tried various different teats but so far he mouths at it but the milk just dribbles out of his mouth.

A Doidy cup.

I got dd straight onto a sippy cup - I just kept offering it at mealtimes and she got the hang of it eventually.

ha ha, just realised my friend has posted this but forgot to log me out first, bless her. i'll have to pass on replies to her....

She's tried my doidy cup (well, not mine, DS's) but still he won't take enough milk without dribbling. It was quite funny watching him trying to use a bottle yesterday but obviously she's not finding it funny as she's running out of time.

I used nuk latex teats and rather warm milk. And ready made to begin with.

I think it's perseverance on your part though that's really needed, and it's not easy when you have exactly what they want, they way they like it, just up your jumper! Perhaps try with bottles, warm milk, soothing music but when you are out?

I went thru the same with mine. I bought every bottle and teat going... Don't. Just stick with one.(I settled for tommy tippee.)
Give the baby an empty bottle to play with, she'll soon find the teat with her mouth, and after a day or two will even start to bite it. Then start putting A little bit of milk in. Treat!
Then it'll be easier to start full feeds.
My DS hardly ate a drop for a couple of days at nursery, but he was fed before and after, and he soon got the hang of it.
Good luck!
