Offspring using boob as teething aid?

It's not too bad at the moment as she doesn't actually have any teeth. But there's one coming through and I'm feeling distinctly nervous. Shock The problem is that she used to spit the boob out the minute that flow slowed down - never had any interest in feeding for comfort etc. Now she is starting to get uncomfortable gums she'll stay latched on for ages, gnawing thoughtfully rather than sucking.

I don't want to delatch her because I'm in the final stages of phasing out top-ups (a marathon battle) so I need her to take as much from me as possible at the moment. However, I don't want her to still be in the habit of chewing on me with a mouth full of teeth. ShockShockShock

Any thoughts, advice?

I just take ds off when he starts doing something that hurts or that I don't like. I think they soon get the message. You can always go back to it 15 mins later if dd doesn't get the message?
