Is paracetamol really the only thing? Just thought I'd canvass opinion before I drag everyone out to the chemist!

how old is LO? would be worth checking with the pharmacy but i dont think you can take the tablets with anti congestion stuff in them because they dry you up - dry up your sinuses and can dry up your milk!

I dont know how much gets into bm either.

So yes, back to the old fashioned remedies of paracetemol, honey, lemon and hot toddies!

I feel your pain - am suffering myself right now. In fact I got antibiotics yesterday as it has turned into earache and a sore throat.

bleugh.

hope you feel better soon

Thanks all. DD2 is 7.5 weeks. I only seem to be bunged up in one nostril at a time so it could be worse, it's more the sore throat/chest/cough. DH is also on night shift so that's not helping!

Can you take ibuprofen? I think I read this was OK to take but double check. I was told to take it by the midwife on leaving hospital with dc1 and I was breastfeeding.

You can take ibuprofen. At least I hope you can, as I was told to take it when I had mastitis by both gp and mw!
