How do I go about drying up a breast? Is there a rough plan I should follow? I am only expressing from it ATM

Thanks!

I saw your other thread as well; if you're dealing with mastitis, the last thing you want to be doing right now is considering limiting the milk you are expressing from it, as it honestly will just make it more painful.

SirBoob, thanks, I am pushing for it and really hoping it'll come through. Even expressing is so painful I just don't know what to do?! Hand expressing is not working Hmm

Try hand expressing in the shower, using hot and cold compresses. Is there any way you can try and feed on that side? If so, point the lower jaw towards the area where the lumps are. You can use a similar angle with a breast pump but is obviously much trickier.

Are you taking pain killers?

Yes on max painkillers, already tried, it's too too painful (and I'm very good with pain)

I have a feeling my LO is teething as the other breast has started to get sore too ...

Are you being treated for the mastitis? Agree with SirBoob that you want to keeping removing milk as often as possible from that breast until the mastitis is gone, then you can think about drying that one up.
