Shall I give up on breastfeeding?

Hi

My LO is 8 weeks. I've had mastitis three times and untreated ductal thrush for 7 weeks. Is it time to give up now?

My LO loves the breast and is even refusing to take the bottle but I can't keep going through mastitis and thrush over and over again. It is extremely painfully and makes me physically

I had dd's cut at 6 weeks without anasthetic and she was less bothered than when she had vaccinations. A quick feed and she was fine.
If you do get it done ask them to show you some exercises for bringing her tongue out more as it can rejoin and require redoing.
The specialist midwife who cut dd's said she had done an 8 week old. I also had to travel to a different area as my local ENT decided it wasn't causing a problem. The hospital I went to cuts them all whatever just in case. My gp was useless and I was actually referred by a brilliant local hv.

I hope it makes a difference Buttery, it must be a relief to know what's (probably) causing it. Good Luck :)
