Is it possible to just buy this or does it have to be on prescription? Iv e got a friend flying in to stay so to save on her weight allowance I said I'd get hold of some for her but am having problems tracking any down.

Try asking at the pharmacy counter. I think you should be allowed to buy it but it'll be very expensive.
