Baby prefers one side

My DD is 6 weeks and has always fed well on both sides and has been gaining weight really well.

The last few days she has stopped latching so well on the left side. She will feed for a few seconds then come off like she's full, them go back on. This will continue for awhile and we both end up covered in milk.

If I stop and put her on the rightsideshe then feeds brilliantly.

Could there be any reasons for this?

mine was the same.
probably just slightly different anatomy on each side (you and her), and maybe a less strong let down on your left side and/or milk flows less easily from you left side (on and off latching can be a baby trying to stimulate let down repeatedly rather than having to really suck)
keep offering the left side and try to get your dd to have a proper feed to keep up your supply. in a few weeks she'll be stronger and happily feeding from the left.

My DS used to feed better on the left than the right. I started to use the rugby ball position on the right and the feeding really improved on that side - no idea why but just thought I'd suggest it.

Thanks for suggestions, good to know its normal!!

Today I popped her on a pillow when feeding on the left and fed hands free. She seemed happier like this so I wonder whether she felt restricted.
