night weaning but having doubts.

We have decided to night wean ds, not least because he has given me a few sleepy nips but we all need our sleep too.

The plan is that I will feed him now which I an doing and if he wakes between now and 6ish its dp's job to settle him. Then after 6 I will feed him again.

Just feeling a bit emotional at the thought of ignoring my baby's crying when I know its me he wants.

Tell me it will be ok.

He is one on Tuesday BTW.

if u feel ready it will be fine. we have just night weaned dd 15m as i have been very ill and just too ill to get up to her in the night so dp has done all the nights. took about 5 nights in total and there was a fair bit of crying but she had her dad to comfort her and cuddle her but needs must sometimes and i physically was bed ridden so just couldn't do it.
she has been sleeping thru all night since

Thanks, it wasn't too bad for the first night. Dp did shush pat and popped his dummy in. He woke a lot but wasn't as hysterical as I expected.

Night 2 tonight hope its a little better.
