I was away to order the Antilop high chair from ikea & had a bit of a wobble about the height of our dining table vs the chair. The dimensions on the website put it at 90cm high which seems like my LO will sit below the table line.

My table is 74cm high - where does this come up to on the antilop? The bottom of the seat? The tray? Other?

Your measuring skills are much appreciated!

The seat is 90cm high but remember that DC sits down into it so their bottom is lower. Our Antilop has DS sitting at the right height for our table so I think you'd be fine. Will measure it once DD has finished BFing.

Just checked. The seat's height (where the DC's bottom goes) is 55cm. Hope that helps.

Thanks!

That's about the height of the seat of our dining chairs. I 'sat' DS on it and his eyes are level with the table...hmmm Hmm

To me this seems low down, but I didn't think our table was freakishly high until maybe now!?

It was DH who measured it. Let me check myself in a bit. Lots of cafes and restaurants use the Antilop and I've never had a problem putting DS in it anywhere, so it must be a fairly standard height. Will be back...

It is a bit closer to 59cm.

Great thanks! You are right - if it's used loads of places then it must be fairly standard. Going to buy it anyway now I think!
