When did your baby/toddler stop preferring to be fed to sleep?

Just curious. :)

DS2 is still going at 14m, he's very different from how his older brother was. Ds1 stopped at 8m then went back to it at about a year and was happpy to settle in his cot after a story and with his mobile/lightshow thingie on otherwise.

DS2 can settle without bf - I work unsociable hours some weeks and he has a cup of cow's milk and cuddles with DH, but likes a huge bf and cuddle with me. He also likes naps in a sling and passing out in his highchair Hmm

He looks at me very unimpressed if I try to just put him in his cot after I read them a story and him having a feed!

Thanks in advance.

You probably don't want to hear this but mine didn"t stop until bfing stopped. They would go to bed without me but if I was there they wanted bfing.

She's starting to stop it about now, 8 months

DD1 stopped needing it and asking for it around 18 months; she then very occasionally would request it but she has stopped doing even that now at 23 months. She is still a very keen breastfeeder though, and has a massive feed when she wakes up and then a couple of small ones during the day.

DD2 is only a couple of weeks old so I don't know yet what she will do!

I'm not too worried JJJ, just wondering when he might stop!

I think it is partly due to not having a real routine while trying to wrangle them both to bed - they share a room now. I did try starting a wee story with him, but he was too tired and jsut wanted milk and sleep. Might try it again sometime.

He's also v keen Badger, more so than DS1 I think.

I quite like the extra cuddles as I miss my boys when I'm out at work Blush I always want to pick DS1 out of his bed and cuddle him when I get home. Grin
