EBF one month old- pooing

My EBF DD is one month old. Up until Friday she was pooing several times a day, on Friday she did one huge poo and hasn't been since. She is feeding lots still and has lots of wet nappies. She keeps straining but just passes wind.

Is this normal? Have tried tummy massage and bicycle legs.

An expert will come along shortly but it's normal. My HV told me breast fed babies can go up to a week without pooing - a terrifying thought.

If you're getting plenty of wet nappies, don't worry, just expect a poonami when it happens.

And if you want to guarantee a poo, leave the house with baby in a white outfit and no change of clothes...

This is within normal, kitten - babies beyond newborn often change their pattern, and sometimes it's sudden and dramatic like this. No need for massage and legs bicycling unless you think it helps with comfort, but unless she is upset, the straining is probably just an odd sensation to her rather than pain.

I agree with TeaOperated about the white clothes, too !!

My little nipper does it. She only poos every 4-5 days. Which is great except it has made changing her into a bit of a game of nappy roulette. though you can normally hear it. Last week we had to go swimming after she hadn't had a little dump for 5 days. That was risky
