Sick after BF, not sick after FF....

.....am I doing something wrong?

5wo DS is always, always sick after a BF. it can be anything from straight after the feed to after a post feed sleep - for instance, fed him an hour ago, slept and just woken up and has vomited alot of watery/cloudy fluid. Is there something wrong with the way I am feeding him? As he has 1 bottle of formula before bed and he is never sick after that.

Do you burp him after every feed? How much is coming back up? Is it only when you move him or is he sick even lying down?

Perhaps he's just eating too much. I mean a bottle is limited once its gone its gone but maybe he's just eating too much on the breast?

Can u express and give breast milk out the bottle and see if its the milk?

Yes I always wind him and get a good burp or two. It's usually keep him upright for a while afterwards as he tends to get hiccups, but yes it is normally when we've laid him down. However we follow this routine with the formula and he doesn't vomit....very odd.

Maybe he is getting too much...he does like to suck for comfort so maybe that's what it is.

mildred, check with your HV but this sounds totally within normal to me - the 'vomit' is posset, not actual vomit, and it is probably excess, not anything to do with anything 'wrong'.

It's a nuisance, and add to your laundry pile, but that's (probably) all :)
