EBF after combi feeding... Possible?

I've posted about slow weight gain before and had great advice. Baby is nearly 6 weeks old. I am breast feeding on demand, which has improved since tongue tie snip as has weight gain. She's having 3 ff a day (90ml). Would like to try and reduce this but not sure this is possible if I've reduced my milk supply? Anythoughts gratefully received, it's been an incredibly emotional journey!

Yes, it's possible - call a bf support line and talk it through. You need a plan to gradually reduce the formula. Good luck :) Check out relactation on the web.

Definitely possible. I went on to EBF after topping up with formula for about four weeks, after DS was very slow to gain weight.

The way I did it was by expressing milk to up my supply. I borrowed a hospital-grade pump - which was invaluable! - to make this quicker and easier. I also took fenugreek, though I'm not sure how much this helped.

I think we topped up with formula from DS being about three weeks to seven weeks old. I then gave EBM in a bottle until he was about 10 weeks old, at which point he became fully breastfed.
We're still going now at eight months.

Good luck!
