Finished feeding - blocked duct?

Finished breast feeding DD about ten days ago and now have (I think) a blocked duct. Have been massaging and putting a hot flannel on but since I can't feed to help get rid of the blockage how long might this take to resolve? I do get a little discharge when I massage.
Am I doing the right things? Has anyone else had this after they stopped feeding?

I don't actually know how to clear a blocked duct without feeding, the best way to clear it is to fee DC with their chin aligned with the duct (which is tricky if the duct is at the top!)

Perhaps you could try expressing?

Posted about this yesterday on another thread, if you can see the blockage (try hand or pump expressing for a bit to make the area swell), you can dislodge it or gently pierce it with a sterilised needle. I have had overgrown skin a couple of times that I've had to pierce, sometimes when it was dry milk I could just knock it out. Didn't ever hurt, was always a release. Needle must be sterilised though. Hand expressing can also release it, just keep working over the area. Good luck!
