I've been cold water sterilising for 6 months, decided to switch to tommee tippee steam steriliser to save water. When its done there us a sort if 'hot' plasticy smell, is this normal?

Did you remember to add water before microwaving?

Yep, I add 80ml, but its not a microwave one, you plug it in on the counter top?

give the water reservoir/plate a good clean , sound like its been run with no/ not enough water

It's not 200ml? (Sorry I only have the microwave one... And have been daft enough to forget the water a few times Blush

I have this steriliser - make sure the reservoir is full as I don't seem to have any funny smells from mine so wonder if it needs a bit more water.
