With DC2 I got recurrent mastitis so I'm paranoid. This is DC3 who is 6 weeks.

I've never had pain without a lump before, could it be the start of mastitis? We are supposed to go away this weekend but when I get mastitis I get very ill. Not sure what to do. I've made him feed and feed on that side.

It could be the start of mastitis. Best he yourself seen by your GP today (if possible) so that you can have antibiotics ASAP.

Good luck x

Thanks, have left MSG for GP.

Is there anything I can do to reduce the chance of it developing into mastitis? Without feeling a blockage it's hard to know where to massage etc.

I had no obvious lump when I had mastitis. It came out a few days later. I would just to the usual, neurofen (if you can), hot compress or shower before feeds & cold one after. Empty the breast and you might feel one.

Really hope you manage to sort it, mastitis is awful. Thanks
