Irregular BF feeds at 11 weeks

DS will be 11 weeks tomorrow. In the past few days he has gone from feeding roughly every 2.5-3 hours day and night to more like every 4 hours during the day (occasionally more), then cluster feeding every hour or more in the evening (from 6-10pmish). Then every 3 hours at night.

Is this within the parameters of "normal"? I'm more worried about the 4 hour plus stretches between feeds than the cluster feeding, especially as he seemed to go from every 2-3 hours to much longer between daytime feeds more or less overnight

Sounds pretty normal to me! As long as his weight is increasing and you are getting wet nappies then just keep following his lead. :)

Thanks! He is gaining weight, not quite in proportion to his birthweight (95 percentile), but gaining. Plenty of nappies. My boobs a huge and leaky when he goes 4 hours in between feeds though!!

They will probably adjust in a couple of days to less feeds then they'll be more comfy and less leaky! That is untul he has a growth spurt, sucks the life out of them to make more milk and then you'll be back to big and leaky!!
