When did you see a routine/feeding pattern emerging?

My baby is 5 weeks old and is breastfed. I'm feeding on demand and a yeg there's no real pattern to this. She's going around 3 hours at night but anything goes in the day! With my first I was mix feeding by now as breastfeeding wasn't going well. I'm sure there was a pattern by now? But maybe that was the formula or maybe I've forgotten?!

I know every baby is different but is there a rough idea?

Thanks

I've been wondering this too. DS1 was pretty straightforward and quickly fell into a pattern of 2ish hours in the day and 4-5ish hours at night, which then gradually stretched out. But DS2 (14 weeks) is still pretty erratic during the day at least. He sleeps from 11pm ish until anywhere between 8-9.30am (yes I am very lucky) but during the day might feed anywhere from 6-12 times and sleep for 10mins to 2 hours! No regular timings at all. Both are/were BF with a bottle at night, of expressed milk for DS1 and formula for DS2.

Different for each child, I've bottle fed both of mine, my first went to 4 hours during the day and 5/6 over night by 10 weeks, this time round we reach 10 weeks tomorrow and there is no system at all. Yesterday was an average of 4 hours, today is all over the place mainly 2 hourly and small feeds.

Not yet! I can't remember but I think routines started coming from about 12 weeks onward!

I did the E.A.S.Y routine with both mine from about six weeks. Intervals started at about 2 hours between bf. then at 4 months this became about 3 hours and now DD is 6 months she does about 4 hours.

Both either slept through or woke once a night from about 10 weeks.
