Do I really need to sterilise? Seems silly.

I'm just starting to express for DD1. With DS1 we sterlised forever but now I'm thinking it's a bit silly as long as the bottles are washed in searing hot water with washing up liquid and then rinsed. I've still been doing it out of duty but not sure how misguided this is...she's 10 weeks.

Thoughts?

No it's OK as long as you're washing well, especially if you're feeding EBM as breastmilk has anti-microbial properties.

I read somewhere that unless you baby is premature you don't have to sterilise.
